The Christmas Bureau of Edmonton is an equity partner in the Jerry Forbes Centre. They have been providing festive meals in our city for 70 years. Today, they deliver the spirit of Christmas to families, seniors and individuals – over 70,000 people in need. While the Christmas Bureau currently has space that is generously donated, Executive Director Wendy Batty recognizes that sharing a space with Santas Anonymous and other non-profit organizations will allow for increased efficiencies, collaboration and shared resources.
“The Christmas Bureau of Edmonton and Santas Anonymous have worked together for over 55 years to share the community spirit and joy of giving to those in need. The collaborative vision of the Jerry Forbes Centre for Community Spirit will allow our partnership to operate under one roof and share combined resources and talents. The new facility will offer one stop opportunities, greatly improving the experience for volunteers who really want to help others in our community.”

Since 2003, Kids Up Front Edmonton has gifted 170,000 donated event tickets valued over $3.3 million dollars to local kids…tickets that otherwise would have gone unused.
Kids Up Front has expressed keen interest in leasing office space in the Jerry Forbes Centre. More than a project of “bricks and mortar” that supports one charity or institution, the Jerry Forbes Centre for Community Spirit demonstrates innovation in its approach to address a vital need for affordable and appropriate professional space for a range of non-profit organizations. “The Jerry Forbes Centre for Community Spirit recognizes the vital role volunteer driven organizations play to enhance the quality of life for our citizens, putting a focus on community…for community.”
